Basalt Downtown Parking Enforcement
The Town of Basalt is currently researching options for how to best implement parking enforcement in downtown Basalt in the future. This is not paid parking, but rather a program designed to enforce limitations on the number of hours a vehicle can remain in one parking spot downtown. Your feedback will be used to help inform our discussions with parking enforcement vendors and Town Council.
The Midland Streetscape project, when completed, will offer a safer pedestrian experience downtown with wider sidewalks, ADA access, enhanced crosswalks, and more bike racks and WE-cycle stations. In addition, the number of parking spots will remain the same as they are today with a new configuration. Midland Spur will feature more than 90 parking spaces and there will be additional parking along Two Rivers Road, accessible parallel parking along Midland Avenue, and a cluster of angled parking at the east end of Midland Avenue, similar to today’s design.
